SkyWatch Friday: Spring View

In February, I posted a photo of a snow storm assaulting the cow pasture behind our house.  (Click here to see the snow.)  Here's how the pasture looked last Saturday afternoon.  Instead of snowflakes, buttercups adorn the field.  (Note:  I cropped the snow photo a bit, but have left this one mostly intact so the buttercups show up.)

There are always more than 75 bloggers posting SkyWatch photos.  To see others, click here.

THANKS & UPDATE!  Thanks to everyone who has emailed me or left comments about my shoulder and my dog, Kasey.  I'm writing an update on the comment section of my blog today.

Again, thanks, everyone for your kindness during my recovery.

I have been having shoulder problems since last fall, and, to make a long story short, had surgery last month to repair tears in the rotator cuff and labrum. In addition, the surgeon had to cut off part of the bone that was impinging movement and shredding the rotator cuff.

My recovery has taken longer than I expected. I am still in a lot of pain, and while I am not in a sling (FINALLY!), I still cannot keep my arm in position to type for very long because of the pain. I apologize for not leaving comments on blogs, but right now, it is pretty difficult and painful.

Re: Kasey, the dog that was sick last month. . .She is doing better, but she is in early kidney failure. The vets have told me that we can stave off the disease, but we cannot cure her. She's okay right now with medication and a special diet.

Thanks, again, for your concerns!

Hi Chris! Sorry for having taken so long to come back here, but glad to see improvements on your shoulder. Hope it will definitely heal soon...
And loved to see some of the beautiful pics: wall art is amazing and the Nashville Parthenon impressive!
Miss your comment on Blogtrotter, where I’m still around Rabat, but preparing to move to Casablanca, but understand why. You'll have a lot to comment when cured... ;))
Hope you have a great weekend!

Love the photo for sky watch. The contrast between spring and winter is nice. You'll have to post summer and fall now too!

I'm glad to hear you are recovering from the surgery, I had foot surgery last year and I understand the pain and frustration of not being able to do everything that you want to.

I'm really sorry to hear about your doggie as well. It's difficult to see someone you love in poor health, dog or human.

oh WOW! What a difference a sunny day makes! Well... and warmer temps... a change of seasons... leaves on the trees... It's A Whole New World!!!

I've heard that surgery is a bear! Take it easy and hope you feel better soon!

Great scenic shot. I'm glad you're doing better.

Remember Henny Youngman, king of the one liners? His joke: I went to the doctor and told him it hurt when I do this; the doctor said: don't do that. If it hurts when you type, don't type:)

I'm so sorry you are still in a lot of pain. -sigh- And don't you *dare* worry about making comments! That's an order! :-) Really. Just do what you have to do, and don't push your arm.

Please, just take lots and lots of TLC of yourself and of your arm.

And I'm so sorry about your doggie. Hope all is well, for a long time.

Finally caught up with your update, Chris. You've been through and are going thru so much. Glad you are recovering and for goodness sake, stop commenting! Am so sorry Kasey can't be cured - how we love our dogs. Glad she is Ok and now you know you've the right diet and medication, she'll be comfortable and you'll have her, hopefully, a good deal longer.
