Walking through the park last week, I saw this little flower. I'm not sure what it is -- a periwinkle, perhaps? I remember seeing these in the brush around our neighborhood when I was growing up. I used to pick them and put them in glasses of water when I was little. There is such beauty, even in weeds.

I think it's a cornflower, Chris. Lovely photo.
I have those flowers here but for the life of me I am not able to remember what we call them. They are pretty, perhaps more delicate looking than they really are. Anyway, I have several wildflowers that are blue and those are really nice to have in a garden or anywhere as blue just doesn't happen very often in Nature.
Thanks for your visit to my blog and for your comment there about beating rugs, wallpaper and spring house cleaning.
I think it's cornflower too.
Great job on the shot.
You're right, Jilly. I think it is a cornflower.
Abe, You're right. Blue just doesn't happen too often. . . .Why???
Ming, thanks!
No idea what it is, but it's beatiful
Neat flower, I am going to try to find one at a nursery here. I like the look.
Beautiful flower.
I like this beautiful flower. I had seen it yesterday. What about that shoulder of yours? Thanks for your comment Chris.
