It's time for fresh peaches at the Farmers' Market! They vary in price from vendor to vendor, but the average is about $15 per basket.
I love pies. . . Since I gave up white sugar a few years ago, I have made them substituting Splenda for the white sugar. I find that I have to add a little juice as the Splenda doesn't cause the fruit to "sweat," and unless you add the juice, pies are not as juicy. So, I'll add about 1/2 cup of apple or pineapple juice with the thickener, and the pies taste great.
Do you like peach pie?

I love peach pie and this photo makes me miss the South. $15 seems a tad dear though. Must be a big basket!
Absolutely. BTW I have have a friend here that works for Splenda and develops recipes!
I love peach pie, yesterday we went to our local peach orchard and had some peach ice cream. Yum.
Chris, this is a gorgeous photo! I can almost smell them! Your pies even sound delicious to read, and I hope you enjoy them.
Have you ever heard of stevia? My husband had to use that instead of sugar for a while. It's very expensive, but comes from a natural source.

Ola Chris!
Sorry for the absence this last week, but unfortunately it wasn’t due to some summer holidays… ;))
Thanks for your comments on Blogtrotter, now at the MoMA for Art and New York lovers! Hope you enjoy and wish you a great week! I’ll try to get back here to enjoy your pictures with some more time during the week!
Peach cobbler, that's what I partial to, Chris, especially warm, with a bit of crispy in the crust. Beautiful photo--I love the way you framed it.
I'm not big on pie, but I love to make raspberry-peach smoothies. The peaches have finally come in here as well. I made several batches this weekend. Yummm!!!
I love peach cobblers and blueberry pies, with a huge scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
