Be Nice

When I owned my store, most of our customers were extremely thoughtful, pleasant and downright nice.  At times, however, there were a few people - not regulars - who could be pretty rude.  I often wondered where they got (or left) their manners.

As we were walking around downtown Saturday evening, I saw this sign posted near the entrance of a souvenir shop.  I would have loved to post it in my store!

Ah! That's a great one. To be fair, in some shops there should be a sign that says "Be nice or quit!"

I like that one, maybe it could be used for some blogs also.

I like your sign and Uselaine's idea as well.

Yes, Elaine, I think some shops could use that sign, too. There are probably more rude clerks out there than we could count!

Jim, that's true, too. I've read some nasty comments on some blogs.

I would like to have the sign all over my island. Straight to the point. Good manners cost nothing. Brilliant statement photography.

That's a very Southern sigh that should be seen 'round the world!

Excellent sign. Reminds me of the one that says "Everyone who comes to this office makes our day:some when they arrive --and some when they leave."
I read your profile and we have much in common.
Best wishes from NY

I usually slip in and out without comments but today I must say this was the best sign I have seen in quite awhile. Peace

Chris, I know it is corny, but is there much to see down near the Grand Ole Opry?

I vote for Rynman Auditorium pics! As long as it is safe down there...

Anyone who has been on either side of the customer service desk can relate to this sign. And it's polite but to the point.

Nothing is as ugly as people with no manners. I take the bus (and subway) to work every day and once in awhile we get riders who are rude or have a chip on the shoulder and start arguing with other riders over something really stupid or insignificant.
