I mentioned redbuds the other day, and I thought I would post a photo of the drive at the northside of Bicentennial Mall (above). The redbuds provide a beautiful entrance to the park. What I particularly like about them is that they seem to be growing right on the branches and/or trunk (photo right). Redbuds seem to grow wild here, which makes roadsides very pretty during spring.I don't know much about redbuds, but if you want to learn more, click here.

They certainly add a lot of color, they are very pretty.
Chris, that is a beautiful display. I haven't seen them planted as more than single specimen trees here, and that is very striking.

This is quite a splash of color for a short lived tree. Surely they must have some hybrid variety in order to plant them like they are here. I like the photos you posted today. Nice work.

The redbud is the state tree of Oklahoma! (That's where I spent most of my childhood).
Glad you are able to do some one-handed hunting and pecking. :)
