Bike Friendly?

While there are quite a few bikers in Nashville, most of them are distance riders. In other words, they don't ride to work/school, but they do ride on weekends. There are a number of streets with dedicated bike lanes, which is good since it makes biking a lot safer for everyone.

I happened to catch this bike outside Whole Foods about a week ago. I'm not sure if the owner works there or if he/she is a customer.

Please Note: I had surgery on my shoulder yesterday, and I am not able to type with my right arm at all. I will be visiting blogs, but please excuse my silence!

I hope it doesn't hurt! Get well soon, Chris.

Hugs.

(That's a cool looking bike.)

I hope the recovery is quick, and you are not too incapacitated if you are right-handed. That is a great looking bicycle and probably belongs to one of the workers. Who would go shopping with a bicycle?

cela me fait penser, qu'il va falloir que je fasse réparer mon vélo.

It makes me think, it will take me to make my bike repaired.

Great bike ... but I'm more a walker kind ...

Espero que a tua cirurgia tenha corrido bem e que a recuperação seja rápida.

i'd like to be able to ride a bike to work - but i work 35 miles away, so i'll stick to the car for now!

I remember back in the day, when it was easy to tell a girls bike from a guys bike. Looks like its a little difficult to tell with that one.

Memphis has a lot of bikers, but I think they are more competitive/recreational rather than true transportation. I often work downtown, so biking is out for me, too. I do wish that we had a light rail system; I would use that in a heartbeat.

I hope that your recovery is going well for you. Take those pain meds as scheduled! :)

Neat. American cities are generally much less bike-friendly than in Europe. But I'm glad some cities are trying to give our two-wheeled friends their space.

Hi Chris, here I am for my at least weekly visit...
Loved to see the greyhounds and spring around the corner! Not a biker myself... ;(
Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter, where I’m still strolling around Bilbao. Look forward to reading you back there when your shoulder will be recovered! Fast, I hope!!
Have a great weekend! XOXO!

Can't resist bike photographs and missed this one yesterday. Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Hope you are well soon. Don't worry about comments - we all have times when it's difficult, even without an operation. Take it easy.
