Not A Creature Was Stirring

Well, maybe about five creatures were stirring!

I had to fly out of town last week, and at 5 AM, Nashville International Airport is not particularly busy! I counted about 10 passengers between the security screening area and my gate. Of course, as my flight time approached an hour later, the halls were busy. However, not as busy as. . . . .But, that's for tomorrow!

I like to arrive at the airport super early because I don't like to rush. So I usually bring a book or magazines to read while I'm waiting for the boarding announcements.

So where are you heading? Somewhere nice and warm, I hope! Bahamas?

I was heading to Las Vegas. . . .It was a bit warmer and LOT sunnier!!

Las Vegas, viva Las Vegas sang The King.
The photo gives us the idea how different can an airport be without people.
Now I'll wait for the rest...

Boy that looks like a loney place to be. I almost have nightmares of going through Atlanta or places like that. Absolutely hate it.

I like the picture you took. It sure does look laid back and lonesome.

Oh, I'll be one of those creatures pretty soon! But Logan won't look that bare, that's for sure.

Yes, Nashville International is very different from the airports in Boston, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Chicago, NYC, etc. The last flight usually arrives around midnight (unless delayed), and most ticket counters don't open until 5:30 am or so. The airport is undergoing a huge renovation right now. They've put in a number of restaurants (fast food and sit down) and stores (Life is Good is my favorite.).

I leave for Vegas on the 1st. I cant wait. I like to fly early because of the no crowds. Much easier to get through.

Yeah, don't you just love it when you have the airport to yourself? Except of course, when that is because you are stranded overnight. Interesting every-day shot. I like.
Thanks,
Wayne
